PERFECT FOR DESSERTS
Would you like to easily prepare oriental desserts yourself? Our organic Arabic sugar can help you with this. We have combined the tempting sweetness with selected spices and created a special mixture that goes perfectly with coffee or delicacies from 1001 Nights.
Flavor and use
When sugar and spices combine, versatile mixtures are created that are perfect for snacks such as yogurt or crepes, fruit and compote. However, due to its exotic origin, organic Arabic sugar has many other uses that go beyond the classic applications. For example, you can enjoy it in oriental pastries or authentically with a strong Turkish mocha. The subtle notes of vanilla and cinnamon also go well with other hot drinks such as milk or tea. To give this sweet mixture its characteristic oriental taste, we added cardamom, mace and clove alongside the popular sweet spices. There are many uses for this tempting combination in Arabic cuisine.
Organic Arabic sugar in oriental cuisine
The culinary traditions of North African countries, the Middle East and the Arabian Peninsula, as well as the states in the region, are often summarized under the term "Oriental cuisine" in Western cookbooks. This image often evokes colorful spice bazaars that significantly shaped the culture and economy of the countries along the Silk Road.
Sweet sins in summer and winter
Cloves, cinnamon and cardamom remind many people of Christmas! Therefore, the organic Arabic sugar with its warm spice notes goes perfectly with the cold season and with a steaming hot drink. For one of our favorite winter desserts, make tipsy mulled pears on Greek yogurt. This is seasoned with Arabic sugar and is therefore particularly tasty. Chopped walnuts provide the necessary crunch.

Once you've tried Arabic sugar and fallen for it, you won't want to go without it even in the summer - at least that's how we feel. However, oriental cuisine has some easy recipe ideas for warm days. Sugar and vanilla harmonize perfectly with most fruits that are in season in summer and can sweeten a variety of fruit creations from cakes to jam.
Does organic Arabic sugar only go with oriental dishes?
Since all the ingredients of Arabic sugar are also found in other national cuisines, you are not tied to a fixed culinary direction. You can let your creativity run wild in the kitchen and discover your favorite dish while experimenting. Here's some fresh inspiration: in the pretty lemon tarts with hibiscus flowers and meringue, the Arabic sugar is only used at the very end and gives the dessert creation the finishing touch. Sour, fruity, sweet and spicy components combine to create a real taste explosion in this delicacy. The bite-sized size makes the small tartlets ideal for a summer picnic or as a colorful eye-catcher on the cake buffet. The taste will convince you as much as the appearance. Promised!
Where does organic Arabic sugar come from?
The basic ingredient that gives the organic spice mixture its name is not in and of itself exclusively oriental. Raw cane sugar is consumed around the world and grown in many areas around the globe. What is actually Arabic is more the combination of warm aromas. Cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg are highly traded in oriental spice markets and have been popularly purchased for centuries.
When it comes to the individual spices we use, we pay attention to the highest organic quality, for which we work with regular suppliers. We then do the grinding and mixing ourselves: In the Rimoco spice factory, we rely on handwork in order to be able to season each organic spice mixture and thus keep our culinary standards high.
